"Less
is More" a phrase first introduced to me by a graphic design
professor yet a belief I have embraced through every facet of my
life. Keeping it simple. Getting right to the point. Philosophies
that sound easy; however they are difficult to achieve without a
path, organization and a goal. Something I have an innate understanding
of.
In
addition to having a Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design, I worked
as desktop publisher in a commercial Print Shop. Guess you could say
my paths crossed. The employment opportunity provided an invaluable
comprehension of off-set printing and pre-press preparation while
Graphic Design courses introduced me to typography, page composition
and color theory. It was a combination that put me ahead of my class.
After
graduating college I had big dreams which led me to art direct campaigns
with Arlington Park, Sport & Social Clubs of the U.S., Flywheel
Media & C.SAW Marketing.
Managing several in-house graphic design departments, collaborating
with print vendors and large scale agencies, provided the ideal
background to art direct a high profile client list at a boutique
marketing firm. My contact list is extensive, my project experience
broad and my work ethic solid. Relationships are important in any
line of work, but mine are built on professionalism, flexibility
and a sense of humor doesn't hurt either. It is this attitude that
makes me approachable and adaptable to any situation.
